BCHS Auxiliary presents financial gift to hospital

President Ronald Warner of the Battle Creek Health System Auxiliary presented a check for $88,125 to the hospital as a first installment of a four-year pledge of $325,000. The annual gifts will fund a mobile x-ray system for the emergency department and gym facilities and equipment for the Orthopaedic Renewal Center. Accepting the check on behalf of BCHS was Steve Marzolf, R.N., B.S., M.S.A., director of emergency care services.
This year's contribution included $40,000 from the hospital gift shop with the rest coming from a variety of fund raisers including a golf outing, pop corn sales, book fairs, harvest bake and craft sale, uniform sales, card party, jewelry sales, 'fudgie wudgie' sale, quilt raffle, purse sale, and proceeds from duplicate and social bridge.
"We appreciate the diligent efforts of our auxiliary members who coordinate these events and the hospital personnel and members of the community who generously support our activities," said Warner.
